The Autoware Foundation Meetup in Tokyo

The Autoware Foundation (AWF) hosted the meetup event for the first time in Japan. Approximately 40 participants from the 15 member companies joined the event held in Nagoya University Tokyo Office. All the participants enjoyed the presentations by Jan Becker (Apex.AI), Geoffrey Biggs (Tier IV), Nikos Michalakis and Alexander Patrikalakis (TRI-AD), and Masaki Gondo and Akihiko Tsukuda (eSOL) as well as the introduction time of every member company.

The networking dinner was followed, where the participants had stimulating conversations during the networking time. Throughout the event, they showed the great interests in the technologies of members and lots of expectations to building collaborations among them together. We appreciate the presenters and all the participants who made big contributions to this meetup.

The next Autoware event will be ROSCon JP on September 24-25 in Tokyo, followed by ROSCon 2019 on October 31-November 1 in Macau. The AWF also plans to participate in the SEMICON Japan just before the Christmas holidays.

Finally, the AWF would like to express our appreciation to Macnica, a premium member organizing this event with great success!
