SBG Systems

SBG Systems designs, manufactures, and provides technical support for an extensive range of state-of-the-art inertial sensors such as Inertial Measurement Units (IMU), Attitude and Heading Reference Systems (AHRS), Inertial Navigation Systems with embedded GNSS (INS/GNSS) for more than 16 years, addressing the most exciting markets (autonomous driving, robotics, marine, aerospace, survey,…).

Value Proposition

SBG Systems brings its knowledge of the markets and technical expertise drawn from multi-year experience in designing products for the industry. We hope to get a better understanding of the needs of the community to build or adapt our products to fill these needs better. It is a great opportunity to present our ideas to experts in the domain for the benefit of making better products. SBG Systems already supports many initiatives, such as students’ programs in racing competitions or robotics challenges, and wishes to do the same via AWF.

Technology Description

An Inertial Navigation System (INS) provides real-time roll, pitch, and heading integrated with a GNSS receiver to maintain accuracy in case of signal outages (buildings, trees, tunnel, etc.) The inertial sensor is also used to precisely synchronize and stabilize additional equipment such as LiDAR or Camera for a driverless car application. The sensors and software that we are developing are at the heart of the autonomous navigation function (perception, localization, mapping). As an intelligent sensor integrated into the system or a software to build maps, it contributes to overcoming the technological barriers enabling access to autonomy levels SAE 3 and 4.
