We seek a senior technical lead to spearhead the privately owned vehicle (PoV) reference design! 🚗

The Autoware Foundation has long focused on developing reference designs for commercial vehicle autonomy within well-defined spaces and constrained Operational Design Domains (ODD). We are extending our scope by initiating a study to develop a reference design for privately owned vehicles intended for general use. 🌐

OBJECTIVES 📋

The Autoware Foundation seeks a senior technical lead to lead the efforts to design a reference design for privately owned vehicle autonomy. In this role, you will:

• Define the concept of operations and Operational Design Domain (ODD) for autonomous driving for privately owned vehicles 🚘
• Define system requirements for Autoware for the PoV autonomy 📜
• Conduct a feasibility study for the current Autoware project to identify missing features and functionality to achieve PoV autonomy 🔍
• Propose software and E/E architecture for the autonomous driving stack tailored to PoV autonomy 🧩

AT A MINIMUM, WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE 🎯

• Experience with the development of autonomous driving technologies for privately owned vehicles (ADAS, HAD, L2, L2+, etc.) 🔧
• Experience with programming using ROS/ROS2 💻
• Experience with using Autoware software 🛠️
• Experience with leading/contributing to OSS projects 🌍
• Experience with GitHub 🐙
