We seek an Executive Director to engage with Autoware Foundation’s strategic initiatives and executing/implementing those initiatives in coordination with relevant Autoware Foundation committees and the broader Autoware community!

OBJECTIVES 📋

The Autoware Foundation seeks an enthusiastic manager to collaborate with the broad Autoware community plan and execute strategic initiatives in coordination with Autoware Foundation’s Technical Steering Committee (TSC), Strategic Planning Committee (SPC) and Operations Team (OT). Some of the expected key activities for this role is listed below:

• Driving the strategic planning initiatives, including but not limited to
  • developing the short to mid-term AWF growth plan with SPC
  • developing the short to mid-term Autoware technology plan with TSC
  • developing the regional strategies to satisfy the local requirements with SPC
  • developing the academic outreach strategy (incl. the Centers of Excellence plan) with SPC
  • improve the organizational effectiveness of the AWF with OT. (e.g., quantitatively/qualitatively benchmark the AWF’s performance against other best practice organizations and derive key suggestions for transformation

• Driving the strategic execution initiatives including but not limited to
  • implementing key strategic initiatives with SPC
  • implementing key marketing initiatives
  • expanding/maintaining the membership portfolio with OT
  • confirming external technical collaboration opportunities with TSC (incl. direct projects)
  • managing key technical initiatives with TSC (incl. major WGs and direct projects)

* Experience with open-source community and/or not-for-profit organization is a plus
