An experienced automotive software supplier with extensive experience in functional safety and certifiability, Mechatnom has joined the Autoware Foundation.

Mechatnom team consist of veteran automotive experts and they have working experience in making systems compatible with what OEMs and Tier1s demand. They also develop hardware products such as platform ECUs with ASIL-D level certification, as well as Steer-by-Wire system, which is a key system component of autonomous/automated vehicles.

Mechatnom team also provides engineering and training services regarding all things automotive safety, certifiability and process development. They proposed to initiate developing a safety plan for Autoware software and conduct thorough gap analysis to identify the missing elements for the Autoware software to become ISO compliant.

Mechatnom team plans to join the Safety Assurance and Reference Design working groups.

We welcome Mechatnom to the Autoware Foundation and are excited to work with an experienced partner that is willing to carry out hands-on activities to improve Autoware’s productization and harmonization with automotive software standards.
