We are excited to announce that the Autoware Foundation has started to ramp up its presence in India and the Middle East!
A leading educational technology company, EduTech Future Mobility Labs, has joined the Autoware Foundation!
EduTech has over three decades of experience setting up core engineering and emerging technology labs across various technical universities in India and the Middle East. These include engineering labs, indoor and outdoor autonomous mobility labs, and more. By becoming an Autoware Foundation member, EduTech aims to support the growth of autonomous driving technology in India and the Middle East and collaborate on research, technical advancements, and community initiatives centered on Autoware software in the region.
India, with its extensive educational and research skill set and affinity for open-source platforms, can significantly contribute to the scaling of Autoware initiatives. EduTech aims to contribute to the Autoware Foundation by bridging the gap between industry and academia in its region and promoting Autoware adoption through educational programs, workshops, and competitions.
EduTech has already collaborated as a partner with Autoware Foundation members, such as PIX Moving and Whale Dynamic. Together, they have successfully delivered and installed autonomous vehicles in the regional markets. Through these opportunities, EduTech engineers have developed their skill sets in the Autoware software, including map creation, autonomous driving, overtaking, speed bump deceleration, traffic light recognition, and reverse parking.
The EduTech team plans to join the Racing and Open AD Kit working groups, where they aim to foster F1tenth competitions in India and build Open AD Kit reference designs based on the vehicle platforms they have access to.
We welcome EduTech Future Mobility Labs to the Autoware Foundation and are excited to work with a partner equipped with deep expertise in Autoware integration, testing, and demonstration, as well as great enthusiasm for collaboration.
