Mapping
Kudan offers highly accurate point clouds in any environment that can be used for creation of HD Map which is inevitable to realize autonomous driving. There are various functions to support map creation and management such as Loop Closure, GCP (Ground Control Point), Map Merge, and Map Update.
Robotics and AD/ADAS
Kudan offers not only advanced SLAM software, but also commercial grade full-stack SW suite for autonomous driving, based on Autoware Architecture, including the Perception, Planning and Control. Use cases can cover various environments through public/closed area and indoor-outdoor mixed area. System Integration with the vehicle can be done either by customer, or Kudan and our partners.
Technology Description
Kudan is capable of Visual (Camera) and 3D-LiDAR based SLAM algorithm, which can be offered independently, or integrated as GRAND SLAM leveraging both camera and LiDAR. Furthermore, Kudan SLAM can be flexibly fused with other sensors (e.g. IMU, GNSS and Odometry), enabling flexible sensor setup with reliable and accurate results against various environments.
On Autoware Foundation ecosystem, since Kudan SLAM can be provided based on ROS2, it is easily integrated to Localization and Map stacks on Autoware architecture. Through this integration, Kudan SLAM realizes high robust mapping and localization on various environments and expands applicable autonomous driving use cases for Autoware Foundation ecosystem.
